Tesoro to curtail operations
Tesoro announced Monday afternoon (April 12) its intentions to curtail operations at the Anacortes Refinery in the wake of the April 2 incident that resulted in the death of six employees and serious injury of one other (Tesoro spokesman Lynn Westfall in San Antonio said that Lew Janz of Anacortes died at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday, April 13 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Matt Gumbel of Oak Harbor remains in critical condition). A company press release said all Tesoro employees in Anacortes will remain employed and receive full benefits.
