It has been several years since I shot many photos of this heron over the course of a two-day stay at Chatterbox Falls in British Columbia. Fellow adventurer James Stover, captain of Autumn Light, one of two sailboats in our little "fleet," nicknamed him "The Old Man." Chatterbox is located just a few miles away from Malibu, a Christian camp and retreat center that has drawn many from this area over the years. I recall first hearing about the camp as a high school student in Everett. Hope to make it back that way someday soon. Serene. Beautiful.
